Too many underestimate the power of Mother Nature unfortunately. I can't tell you how many times I've had commander's not prepare enough, forget, or what have you to their own weather guy. When approached with that, 99% of the time I'll let them know that I gave ample warning hours, if not days notice, provided courses of action, and after that it's out of my hands and not my call.
