Yea, this guy was begging for the cops to shoot him. At least that's how I see it...sad.

Upon reading the narrative it sounded like the idiot was setting up a suicide by cop.

That might have been his original plan but I just guessing. The shooting is good.

With the video digitally altered, it is impossible to tell if *all* the center officer's shots were justified while I arm chair quarterback. Given the short time span and tunnel vision, I think yes. The suspect is blurred but it is apparent that he tossed the gun away about the same time the center officer started shooting. I don't know if the suspect was able to open fire but it does look like his gun recoiled as he went down. He may have had an involuntary contraction while riding the lighting (Taser) that caused the gun to fire. (I've done it more than once for my instructor cert and it f'n hurts (the next day is worse though)) BUt if the suspect's gun goes boom, then the cops guns go boom, boom, boom,

The sound is dampened so it is extremely difficult to tell when and how many rounds the center officer fired. It looks to be about 10. The 'right' officer looks like he got at least a half dozen rounds off before moving off camera. I'm curious where the suspect was hit to have the mist fly like that, but I think the 'right' officer was the one that fired that shot. The suspect was far too active for that hit to be where I initially thought it was. The 'left' officer seemed a bit Barney Fife to me.

Oct 2107, 26-year-old Demetric Denario Carter, walked into a bank on Oct. 27 and reportedly told a teller “I just need you to call police. I don’t want to take it out on y’all.” Carter then walked out of the bank before Escambia County Deputies Pat Roberts, Crista Pope and Ronald Busbee responded.

...Roberts deployed his TASER.
Carter then grabbed his gun and began firing...

After the shooting, Carter allegedly told authorities that he was attempting to kill himself. But in a later interview, the suspect claimed that he found the gun and went to the bank to call a security guard and turn the weapon in. He also said he didn’t fire the gun and isn’t sure why deputies fired at him.

The state noted Carter was "actively defiant" against orders by ECSO deputies, and the deputies were justified in responding with deadly force.

Carter remains in Escambia County Jail without bond. Court records show his case is ongoing in the circuit court. Carter currently faces three counts of attempted murder.

With the narrative saying it was a "Facebook Live video", I thought this shooting just happened in the past couple weeks or so. Definitely a clean shooting after reading more details and watching SFC Kain's version of the video. Apparently the misty was not the suspect, one of the officers hit the wall and that 'mist' is actually brick dust.

A much more detailed account of the shooting. The sounds is not muffled, but the blur is added sooner and is a little larger. The zoom and slow mo is helpful in breaking it down.

Should have never presented a Taser in this type of event
