A judge has the legal authority to control the people in cases before her, and to take actions on implicit threats.

Capt Gregory Prickett
SSgt (Join to see) - She was assigned because it is a case that is related to a case that is already in her court. There is nothing strange or unusual about that.

Capt Gregory Prickett - How are they related specifically? I know they both are under the very huge umbrella of Mueller's investigation. As far as I can tell the charges against individuals are just that, individual charges. I have not seen the same charges being leveled at a gaggle of people. Am I missing something?

Why Mueller said Roger Stone’s case is "related" to his Russian hacker indictment
Stone is disputing this and asking for a different judge.

Interesting. Will definitely keep an eye on how things progress (or is it regress?)...

There really is no such thing as freedom of speech. The courts ruled on that long ago. Just as you cannot yell fire in a crowded theater, you cannot post what appears as a threat against a federal judge. Same would happen if someone posted a picture of POTUS with crosshairs on or near his head.
Judges DO have the authority to issue a gag order, so this op-ed is off base.

How about holding up a bloody head of POTUS with a bloody knife in the other hand? As far as I know NOTHING happened. Same with all the POTUSes in effigy in a noose. Or the crazy crowd calling for his assassination?

SSgt (Join to see) - Those individuals can and should be prosecuted. And, twitter should not allow that type posting.

The sad fact is they do. Anything against Trump is considered NOT in violation of community standards. It is quite interesting to read several of the threads involving the owners of Twitter. i.e.: Their responses on threads.
