Watched a number of Titan IV launches when I was with the 394th/1STRAD. Launch dates/times were never announced. Launches from SLC-6 are really hard to see until the booster clears Tranquillion Peak but are still impressive.

Yeah, I was at SLC-4 where we launched the Titan IV. I was just down the street from the launch site for payload recovery. It would light up the sky just as bright as the sun did. Great light show. Didn't even know we had a delta IV. How come we don't use Aerozine 50 anymore? Better thrust for less weight?
