Funny, I recently read that a California Univ did the same thing. Maybe we should take a good look at this guy? (wink...wink...nudge...nudge)

Free speech only applies if your words don't offend the delicate sensibilities of those who don't agree with you, didn't you get that memo?

Imbeciles! How are you ever going to get another point of view unless you LISTEN!

I see people on both sides just hunkering down no matter what. Fingers in ears: blablablablablaba!

SGT (Join to see), the difference is that one side is in favor of the free marketplace of ideas in academia and the other side is for censorship of ideas through violence.
The difference is between enlightenment on the one hand and ignorance on the other.
Big difference.

I disagree. I went to the second most liberal school in the U.S., Kent State. I did not have any professors that politicized the curriculum. I saw some very conservative speakers there. I think this age has mollycoddled our youth. Give me a time out card or a safe place to be instead of listening and learning from those with a different point of view.

SP5 Christine Conley, could that be because the kids have no practice discussing differing ideas in school these days? We had thoughtful discourse back in the dark ages when I was in school, and the political differences were just as great as they are now.
