Despite small victories, Indigenous communities around the world face an uphill battle

Despite the settlement the struggle continues in Canada and around the world. Just as in Canada children were forcibly taken from their homes and parents and placed in Indian Schools (most notably the Carlisle Indian School, Carlisle, Pa) through the early 20th century.
