Did Political and Media Bias Stall the Release of Merck's New Covid-19 Drug?

This means people would have been less fearful and would go out...so the politicos in charge blocked it. Even now, publicity is minimal.

From what I've seen about previous administration's thinking this drug would be a threat to Operation Warp Speed, do ya political bias stalled it.
