Divorce request between two married women turns into shooting

Then Airrion Wallace said: "Don't be surprised if I have another female in here"
“She shot” Airrion Wallace said. “I’m like ok. Ok, I hear you, I’m not going to do it… [but] she kept going.
“She wanted me to die because she has always felt if she can’t have me, no one can have me,” she said.

My question is: How many shots does it take at close range?
I really didn't think more then 3 was ever in the movies.
