Check the definition above, then try to tell me we are not a constitutionally limited Democratic Republic.

MCPO Roger Collins - or perhaps you are just plain wrong and as such have taken a position that you are unable to defend.

Being on the ballot in all 50 states is a long way away from being "just anyone."

I believe that should be the measure for debate inclusion (being in some percentage of state ballots).


As for your question, the polls that limit debate inclusion are usually along the lines of "if the election were today, who would you vote for."

These polls aren't meant to show who people are voting for, they are only for showing that the majority of citizens believe that they are viable candidates that should be allowed to debate with the other candidates.

Read an interesting article that says polling surveys can be misleading. If the question asks "who you voting for?" you'll limit responses between Trump and Clinton out of a person's concern for wasting a vote. If the question asked was "who do you want to be President?" the polling results maybe significantly different and very telling of how corrupt the debate commission is. It's a philosophical point of view about phrasing questions to limit the responses you will receive. I will never trust polling surveys.

I could make a pretty fair argument that the PRIVATE Media (corporations) are "intentionally" excluding 3rd/4th parties from the polls because they are not profit generating entities. The Media doesn't work for us. We're their product, not their customer.
