Yes, it does. One example is the Tokaj region in Hungary. The soil in the Hungarian wine region of Tokaj has unique properties. The Noble rot, or Noble Fungi, is part of the unique aroma and taste. The Aszu wine is one of a kind from my ventures in Europe. Bonus if you can be in the area in August for the 10 day wine festival.
