Saw the movie last night - with 4 other guys from the neighborhood - all but 1 prior service. I would say it was an OK movie - seemed like the typical dry British WWII perspective kind of movie. Three stories intertwined in to one - The Air, The Sea, and The Mole Pier. The acting was good, visually good, but the lack of scale made the movie rather narrow - more or less the perspective of roughly 6 people. I would have like to have had at lest a glimpse or two of the true scale of the undertaking at Dunkirk. I get what the director was going for - the feeling of isolation and desperation one can experience in war however because of the movie's rather thin story line I'd have to give the movie a B+. I 'd like to hear other peoples take on the movie.
