Happy Father's Day to all you Dad's, and honorary Dad's.
It's not always easy, not always fun!
Hopefully, it is fulfilling and worth the effort.
This year Juneteenth and Father's Day, being on the same day, adds special significance to both.
A friend in South Carolina told me they get a day off, Monday, for Juneteenth. So I did a little investigating about State holidays.
Thought a link to legal holidays in each state might be interesting. Don't know if "legal holiday" means paid day off (double time etc.) but it seems to. Each state has it's own list and its own number.

https://www.findlaw.com/stateInfo about New York, for example, states: New York Legal Holiday Laws at a Glance
"As is required of all states, New York recognizes the same legal holidays as the federal government. While some states have additional legal holidays that reflect the history and culture of the state, New York does not. However, public schools in the Empire State are closed on the following holidays, which are not always on the same date each year"
It is interesting to note the four listed are religious holidays. It suggests allowing for some amount of religious diversity not recognized by federal holidays. Very strange that New York leaves out any specific Jewish holiday - like Yom Kippur.
I also noted that Juneteenth is not listed as an official holiday in South Carolina. I suppose it is an informal one, like the New York unwritten s.o.p. examples.
A search for "legal holiday laws of states" at Find Law provides results. It is more productive to plugin the name of any state of interest, instead.
