Global warming: one of many scientific characterizations associated with Climate Change. In otherwords, Every time I see the YouTube clip of the Republican Congressman showing everyone a snowball and tells us all global warming is a myth only shows his scientific ignorance. I'm sure the Arctic Circle wishes it had 166 days of below freezing temperatures to help reverse drastic changes in that environment. I'm not gonna say we'll eventually see tornadoes in California, hail storms in Hawaii, earthquakes in Wisconsin; but we are seeing gradual environmental changes that could be interpreted as shift in climate behavior (long term); not just freaky weather.

I would disagree with the statement that money is being wasted on research proving it's man's fault. It's not about fault; it's about level of contribution to the changes that are occurring. That is the purpose of the research. Advances in medical treatment, industrial technology, and material manufacturing has led to population growth, extended life longevity, strain on resources to include renewable resources. From a philosophical perspective, climate change is a method of establishing an equilibrium, a balance in nature. Philosophy of science was an interesting subject in college. The problem with historical data is the accuracy especially when we're hypothesizing environmental conditions before data collection had begun. The drunk analogy can apply to both scientists and politicians who are choosing to sort data to fit their narrative instead of remaining objective. The "adapt or die" analogy I've heard in many conversations is also an unusual approach to the discussion. And the ocean has stored energy, not in the manner that the ocean waters are physically warm or hot but under a theory that gradual increase in temperature 1 degree at a time shifts the equilibrium. I.E. gradual rise in ocean water temps in the artic over decades can lead to melting ice caps. In other places, it contributes to setting conditions for hurricanes. Watching her, it was unclear to me whether she believes a developing society has any kind of impact or contribution on the surrounding environment; that nature will do whatever it takes to establish balance.

I am sure NOAA is correcting and adjusting the temperatures to the least number of below zero days on record.

I'm sure they share with NOAA.
