PO1 William "Chip" Nagel: What a great story about these kids getting things for the dogs.
When our nephew informed us that there were working dogs attached to their unit in Afghanistan (4 tours to that hellhole), they became part of the troops for the care packages I sent. When I sent a bunch of silk cowboy scarves and special talc powder (for under their fatigues on their backs), the dogs got their own as well. And in went things such as dog friendly mosquito/tick repellent, scorpion bite medicine, ear drops for ticks, etc., water bottle cups, special wipes for their pads, and dog chews. When we told our vet, their office even threw in various items for the dogs. My shopping cart was filled with junk food, dog stuff and gun oil. The looks from the cashiers were good for a few laughs.
