Not to be a debbie downer..... he was not deployed. He was on unaccompanied tour to Diego Garcia. There are plenty of sailors that are actually deployed with lots of life events going on (births, deaths, school events) and they don't write letters to Ellen to get attention. You are a Navy SUPPO on LAND. Get over yourself, man up, and realize that there are sailors that are facing much more than you... Sorry for the rant, but sometimes Officers piss me off, and make my inner BM3 come out!

SCPO (Join to see) - I don't cut shore based sailors any slack when they say they have it so hard. GO TO SEA, YOU ARE A SAILOR!!!!!! If you wanted to be stationed on land, then you should have joined the Army or Air Force.
