ISIS is already using these as weapons. This is a game changer for sure, wait until someone uses a drone to dispense a bio agent... that will be interesting.

Not to stray too far.. there were privately owned drones that were not FAA certified.
Because owners didn't properly rdgister them. Being freezing cold, the police could have hosed them with the same water turrets they used on the Indians. They eould have froze up and dropped. The ones isis is
Using in the desert were purchased via catalog, shipped.via shipping to innocent address and some person forwArded them.
So no actual way to control the shipping.
I suspect they used film bags to wrap them in if directly shipped.. that would set off
Bells to open package to see what was being shipped . I'm sure if Customs(depending on country probably would not let them go through..

SSgt Boyd Herrst - There has been some discussion for awhile now about RC model airplanes used as unmanned attack vehicles as well. I recall a grad student who offered to build and fly one armed with explosives. Regardless of the platform used, this adds another tool to the terrorist tool kit.

LTC (Join to see) - there were the old scud missiles.. Various radar needs to be set to cover from ground up.. the enemy could be using small uavs to check for missiles to fly in at almost ground level.
Uavs with scrambler devises.. to confuse firing capability. No FCC to govern them.
But they sure do try to use it against us
(Obama sent them our FCC rules, underlined
Specific ones that even govern our military
(Again he's aiding and abetting our enemy)

I sit on the joint agency counter UAS working group. We have explored low tech, no tech, and high tech solutions. We are not working on battlefield solutions, just protecting critical infrastructure. DOD attends so they may apply our lessons learned to the battlefield. I just wanted to post this so you know that the USG is aware of the threat and has been working on it.

It will be interesting where we do go with the battlefield aspects of counter UAV. Had we really started in on it about 2010-11 when we were using it so hard.... but not really thinking that soon all would have capability. Will it be that ADA makes a come back and its slice element to the CO Team again??
