I fell asleep on a flight to my duty station in S. Korea once. We landed in Okinawa, I had no idea when I woke up. Just saw everyone get off so I got off. As I stood in a line at the airport, I found myself standing in line with Marines who are being stationed in Okinawa. LOL! Needless to say, I was oops WTF! I missed the first announcement to get off with the others that would reboard and continue to S. Korea. Like you said, falling asleep has consequences.

The broken rifle was pitiful.

I felt the same way. It was as shame that it happened in front of a crowd. They did a good job of recovering.

Much respect for that Marine. He didn't panic. Very well done in recovering. Crap happens....Murphy's Law.
