It's funny to look and easily discover many sources reporting this story but not one of the "main stream media", which inspires me to wonder "if a tree falls in the forest and no progressive leftist hears it, does it make a sound?

I'll take a wait and see on this one. Given the source there is ample reason to withhold judgement.

I don't pass judgement but it seems from the multiple sources citing this, there's a chance she's actually done some wrong doing here. What I do find interesting is the media's ability to pick and choose stories based on their narratives and agendas. My guess is, there will only be two news networks covering this: Fox News, and OAN.

CW3 Michael Bodnar - I don't know if you saw my other thread on this, I did find a more reputable source of information. It doesn't mean the charge is true, but it is certainly being claimed.
But to be fair, when I started looking I found it on several left leaning papers like the StartTribune; the main paper of the Twin Cities.

This is from a local paper explaining the details around the controversy in a reasonably non-partisan way.

New documents revisit questions about Rep. Ilhan Omar's marriage history
Although she has legally corrected the discrepancy, she has declined to say anything about how or why it happened.

SPC Kevin Ford I agree, that article is more reasonable. Thanks for posting it.
I would not be so accusatory about the first husband referring to the baby girl as “niece”. In many cultures, people refer to people of the older generation as auntie or uncle - reciprocated with niece, nephew. It would seem normal for an ex-husband with whom one might be on passable terms at least, to do so. I suggest it is indicative of cultures that truly believe it takes a village to raise a child, so actually do invest in their children in that way.
