EU Threatens Sanctions Against Poland Amid Fears Its Democracy Is Under Threat

Is Brussels concerned about democracy? Or just the choices the Polish voters have made?

Significantly biased view of what is really going on, Poland wants to follow a more traditional American type democracy, rather than follow the directions of the EU, that is the real reason, they refused to take in unvetted refugees and refuse to pay money for their welfare. They are opposed to EU mandates not democracy, I understand why progressives confuse the two. That said, they are a bit too eager to want to replace all their judges with the current law.

I support Poland's economic conservatism and hope they continue with their arms length distance from the EU.

This essentially in American terms amounts to an impeach and replace, the real issue is they will be replaced with right leaning conservatists not EU supporting liberals.
