I truly believe these guys were the most underrated band of the 60s. The first with women playing instruments, the first with blacks and whites in the same band, and 7 songs in Rolling Stone's list of 500 greatest rock and roll songs. When the Black Panthers came, telling Sly to get rid of the whites in the band, he told them, "Get the f*** out!"
