We've heard this refrain for almost 4 years now. "We are going to be a dictatorship". Dictators do not reduce government regulation and control over our lives, they seize more at every opportunity.

Authoritarians do not deregulate and shrink the government's reach. That is the point you are missing. Reducing taxes and regulation is a reduction of government control over peoples lives not an increase. He is doing he opposite of what you say he is doing.
There is no doubt Obama would have done more on gun control. That is a democrat position. The ware on Christmas was never about Obama it was about the culture.
