Well that sounds like a Cluster. Some of the Air Force were onboard with the Coup, others were Loyalist. Problem with Coups, You succeed or else. Good thing for these Buggers is that the Gov't removed Capital Punishment some time ago in it's bid to join the EU.

Since the sick man of Europe, Turkey, is slowly turning into something closer to a Baath Party Dictatorship and knows there is no chance of gaining ascent to this dream of being an EU member. I think the President of Turkey is going into be removing the death pentalty soon since he is replacing most of the judges in the Judiciary. He already suspended civil rights recently and the state of Emergency is in effect. Last time I checked, 6,000 military, 8,000 police and over 15,000+ civil servants out of work or in prison.
