Thanks MGySgt (Join to see) for posting the article. Interesting concept. I like SSG Robert Webster's comment regarding access controls. What I have found, both in the US and Internationally, is the gulf between the IT Security and Physical Security silos in a company. The bigger the gulf, the more likely you can penetrate the company/network.

Agreed. I find it absurd a company wouldn't physically protect its infrastructure.

And this is why physical security to the wiring closet and other node locations is or should be a consideration in network security.
Even says so in most security guides that I know of.

Interesting concept, but note: "If the attacker has physical access to the target’s facility..."

Why would I keep my routers in an insecure location where someone can continuously monitor it with a camera?

Most those following good practice wouldn't...but I've seen plenty places where that isn't the case.

Those who are not, would have huge problems in my world. Still having a camera in the facilities I work in could be better served watching a whole host of other things.
