Extremist crimes among veterans on the rise for the past decade, study finds

MilTimes and DefenseNews is on my daily read list. MilTimes drifted left of Lenin sometime during the Clinton years. They need to define "extremist" before they dip their broad brush into it.

You’ll find if you look to the past such as pre-revolutionary war that these situations have been the precursors that helped set the stage for the revolutionary war and other such type situations to stamp out dictatorships and oppressive governments that have crossed the line with the people.
These situations usually calm down once things get back on track and the oppressive governments or dictatorships have been removed from their seats of power.

So who did this study and why am I supposed to believe it has the authority it claims?
