It is a very capable Air-to-Air fighter/interceptor. Never lost an encounter and never shot down in battle. Still one of my favorite jets.

I assure you that our E models are far superior to those sold overseas. They don't get the same "option packages" that we have. Our air frames are older, but we do have fairly new ones also.

I read that F-35's and 22's were involved in the Syrian strike.

Aside from the radio encryption and maybe some improved radar, I wonder how what's different they are from our newest model?

LTC (Join to see) - Friends don't always stay friends. For example, Iran flies F-14's, they were brand new when the Shah was deposed. We will maintain an advantage over like air frames. Although, some of those aircraft have been modified by the owning country to carry their secret squirrel stuff and weapons, such as Israel and Japan.
