Reminds me of the movie, Pentagon Wars .... now they just must continue with the failing F-35 regardless of any actual results from testing/development of the F-35. 14 Billion for the Bradley... now becomes 140 Billion for the F-35!

I haven't seen it but didn't the comedian Eddie Murphy have a movie similar to this called best defense?

None of the option seem all that viable and the boil down t o rehashed antiques with fast less capability and drones,
This reminds me greatly of the fielding of the F-11 and if historically the original fielding of P-51 before the brights put a decent engine in it. I also remember when the F-16 was refereed to as the "Electric lawn dart" because of chafing problems.

Yes, putting a Merlin engine in a P-51 Mustang totally changed the plane. The F-35 had problems for years ago with the jet engine cracking it 110% thrust.

All the wiringredientsnf for intramantsion and flight control in an F-16 went though a single wiring bundle. That Buncle chafed sh I rating wires. Since it was fly-by-wire that killed blots and destroyed aircraft. One case brought before Congress ended up with a pilot hitting a mountain in a steep inverted dive with every one of his flight instrument giving bad info. All advanced aircraft have developement problems that has been trues since Sopwith Camels were famous for killing pilots.
Do you remember all the "scandals" about the Bradley?

Perfection doesn't exist in the arms industry. Got to have flaws so there is a reason to develop and sell a replacement.

The real Sgt Bilko was a man ahead of his times, this 1996 rip off, not so much.
