FAA reports 'off the charts' spike in unruly, dangerous passenger behavior on flights

The Federal Aviation Administration is warning air travelers about what it describes as a dramatic increase in unruly or dangerous behavior aboard passenger airplanes.
In a typical year, the transportation agency sees 100 to 150 formal cases of bad passenger behavior. But since the start of this year, the agency said, the number of reported cases has jumped to 1,300, an even more remarkable number since the number of passengers remains below pre-pandemic levels.
The behavior in question includes passengers refusing to wear masks, drinking excessively and engaging in alleged physical or verbal assault, including what the agency describes as political intimidation and harassment of lawmakers.

Unacceptable behavior. You know the rules when you buy the ticket because you have to agree to them. I may not agree with the rules but they are their rules and if I want to fly in their jet then I abide by their rules. I flew last week to San Antonio Uneventful going and coming...everyone complied. However, while I was eating on the river walk a restaurant patron got into an argument with the host about wearing a mask...come on folks these people were out of work for a year and all they are trying to do is keep the doors open...you want to eat then play by their rules otherwise go to another restaurant. Quit acting like babies and follow the rules...if you don't then stay home or drive your car.

My daughter has flown from CA to NJ three times this year. Twice her flight was delayed at layover stops due to passengers acting up, drunk, not masking, fighting over overhead storage. Police called both times.
