I get the issue and agree that those involved should suffer the consequences of their inaction but answer me this. When was the last time we were allowed to sue a major auto maker for a death due to drunk driving?

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel I don't think so. A manufacturer has no responsibility to how someone uses the legal item they produce. If you're going to sue gun manufacturers for how they were used then you have to consider sueing the auto maker for the psycho that drove into a Christmas parade.
