Well a senior officers feet were held to the fire, but how in the world did his superior officer not recognize a serious issue and act on it? Regardless of branch are we really willing to sacrifice our integrity and honor on something as serious as sexual assault, child endangerment, and not act on it? A LTG is retired over this. Retired. The COL got a slap on the wrist for what he did. It’s not right.

I feel for the family. I know that senior officers in all the services have covered up and/or wrist slapped people who should have been disciplined or courtsmartialed.

1000% correct ma’am. The money is a ‘show’ to make the USMC publicity embarrassed, but it’s a drop in the bucket when you know the family won’t get it, and two things make it that much worse...a LTG will be home with his family enjoying the time with them. That family won’t ever. That LTG will call himself a Marine. He’s not. He forfeited that title, but the slain Marine will never get to yell it in happiness. GEN Dunsford should be walked right to an open podium where he personally tells the nation how he ans his subordinates failed the basic principles of the Corps, the title of Marine, and relieve everyone who knew about this, covered it up, and begin Art32 hearing open to the public in 45 days. They should start with the LTG
