I suspect he would expect to be notified in person, by someone above him - not from a news station. Would you fire a 1SG by telling the PAO to publish it on AFN? Why wouldn't you?

The termination letter was hand carried by one of Trumps people to FBI headquarters. Thing is Comey was in LA at the time. You would think the White House would know this. Why not recall him there to tell him face to face? It was like everything else in this administration a half ass move.
