"As proposed this summer, the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has rolled back Net Neutrality rules that require Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to treat all services and websites on the Internet equally and prohibit them from blocking sites or charging for higher-quality service."
What a bunch of hooey! This 'rule' has been in effect for two years? And is now being rolled back?
It is very obvious to some people that this is a distractor from the real issue with these rules and the roll back of them. Almost every single article that I have read uses this example as to why it is bad to have these rules rolled back. Do these people even read advertising or even look at their telecommunications bills? Do these people even check out information at sites such as DSLReports and BroadbandNow?
It has always stymied me and cracked me up at the same time when one of the telecommunications companies tries to up sell service past what I already have and I ask them one simple question - When is your company going to provide Fiber Optic to the Home (or Premises)? And their answer is usually one of these; What is that, I do not know, or You already have it. The one that irritates me the most is the last one, when they are too lazy to even look at their own cable maps against your address.
