Since 1776, Americans have voted in 58 presidential elections. And every time, the losing candidate has conceded and power has been peacefully transferred from outgoing to incoming president.
This year, incumbent Donald Trump has refused to confirm that he'll concede if declared the losing candidate — though his administration assured voters he would. Still, many are taking Trump at his word and are training for peaceful resistance to what they call the worst-case scenario: a "power grab."
Among those groups is Choose Democracy, founded by longtime activist George Lakey. His group has trained more than 7,000 Americans in Zoom sessions where they're encouraged to create concrete plans of action including letter writing, strikes and occupations.
He joins host Robin Young to talk about what he's doing and why.

I am proud to say I voted in 14 of those elections, all but 2 by absentee.
As an aside, we should consider that of the past 7 presidential elections, the Democrats took the popular vote in 6.
