"Thanks to several years of the Democratic party establishment strong-arming younger candidates off the field for Hillary, the only agent for fundamental change remains Bernie Sanders, an honest and vanity-free man who has been faithful to his core progressive principles for his entire career. It is absolutely phenomenal that Sanders has made such progress nationally against his near total blackout over the past year by the major media, including the New York Times. That he has inspired the hope and enthusiasm of an immense number of millennial women is very encouraging. Feminists who support Hillary for provincial gender reasons are guilty of a reactionary, reflex sexism, betraying that larger vision required for the ballot so hard-won by the suffrage movement."
I wondered why there were no younger candidates on the Dem side when the GOP has several.
Governor O'Malley is/was vastly superior really to either Sanders or Clinton.

Sanders and Trump's phenomenal and unexpected popular support in their respective parties may be based on the same reaction to the course of American politics. We speak of "The Bubble" that isolates Washington from We the People. It seems that the established leadership of both parties are embedded deep within that same bubble. Once upon a time, every member of Congress catered to their electorate. They dictated personal responses to every letter. They welcomed every guest to Washington. They responded to every plea for help from constituents who were embroiled in some tangle of red tape. There were no Townhall Meetings. There was no need for them. Incumbents lived in their districts and visited Washington. Now they live in Washington and visit their home districts. Those who have served in Congress for decades probably couldn't navigate their home town streets. It appears that We the People are angry, doesn't it?

Communism's new label isn't exactly the fundamental change I want for my country. Anyone who praises the U.S.S.R. Fidel Castro, or Nicaraguan dictators for being "great guy's" lacks the intellectual and moral capability to lead our republic.

Sorry that an otherwise very intelligent young lady such as yourself have fallen for the Clinton propaganda. In terms of the email scandal....I have had people prosecuted for less. And now they are now digging in the improprieties and outright influence peddling. And because of Benghazi and her lies to cover that up, she is disqualified to be commander in chief. But you are young and maybe with time you will see the light.

LTC Thomas Tennant - I'm sorry you have fallen for the lies and allegations of the GOP. I've had brothers and sisters die because of them.

Sgt Judy Leonard - First I am sorry for your loss. As a former BC I too lost troops in this GWOT and had to face the families at funerals and other events. But the fact remains that, since 9/11, we are now live in as changed and more dangerous world. We are at war with Radical Islam (ISIS, AQ, and others). Some would say they were at war with us before we were at war with tem . we have to destroy them before they do irreparable harm to America and our way of life.
But I am also not naïve. I have a healthy distrust for most of the "Political Class" that operate within Washington DC. As far as I am concern both the RNC (GOP) and DNC (Dems) both have blood on their hands. Depending on who you believe and how much you believe them, OEF was necessary but OIF was not. The end result now the region has been destabilized and we have the growing threat from ISIS and a President that will not even call them by their name ... Radical Islamic Terrorists.
Hillary Clinton is a power hungry opportunist who has no respect for the military and the sacrifices our men and women make. I have met her first hand in Arkansas and seen the wake of destruction she and Bill left there in women's lives. I had friends in Mogadishu (Blackhawk Down) who died while he and Monica had a romp in personal office off to the side of the Oval Office. Her actions during and after Benghazi are just more examples of her blatant disregard for the lives of those who serve this country.
Again, I am sorry for your loss and thank your for your service.
