PO1 William "Chip" Nagel The rate of expansion is explosive. It is estimated that there will be 3 to 4 million Zika infections over the next year. This makes the threat of Zika alarming. "The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said there had been 31 cases of Zika infection among US citizens who travelled to areas affected by the virus, but so far there had been no cases of transmission of the virus through mosquitoes in the US itself." There is a known case of Zika being transmitted sexually, the infected person, had recently returned to the U.S. from Brazil, this case was recorded in Texas.
