Thanks TSgt Joe C. for reminding us that on December 13, 1621 under the care of Robert Cushman, the first American furs to be exported from the continent left for England aboard the Fortune from the Plymouth Colony.

TSgt Joe C. Beaver Pelt Hats became quite the Rage to Include Eventually the Stovepipe Hat like that worn by Lincoln. The Hats were Polished with Mercury warmed over a Candle. Where we get the Term Mad Hatter from. Mercury Fumes made them Crazy.
