I thought and think now these Soldiers were awesome in their perservance, but I also remember the backlash that was on this site when they graduated. I hope they become the role models for others regardless of sex to not just dream of a goal, but to go out and get it.

Don't worry this site is (hopefully) not representative of the DOD, this is a swamp consisting of 80% Internet trolls who are among the worst things to ever happen to America

Here's to a great career for them full of new opportunities. CPT Griest knew what she wanted and was determined to achieve that goal despite the many obstacles she faced and probably will continue to face throughout her career. She believed in herself and though questioning at times she had male leaders encourage her to keep moving forward. I don't get the death threats or other harassment from people. What is wrong with people that we can't be happy for change? I know...people don't like change. Some people are set in their thinking of roles of men and women and won't change. That's another issue, my point is I just don't get how or why people make these threats for the success of others. I've always been one to support women and provided encouragement and leadership to those who have worked for me and with me. I studied Women in Leadership in college and it really opened my opens to the issues they face in not only trying to be seen as equal but just trying to be successful for themselves.
