We were all issued Geneva Convention ID Cards in the 1960s but it seems during the Vietnam War, north Vietnam said they were never signers of the Geneva Convention therefore they didn't have to abide by it. Our Code of conduct also spelled this out but the other guys had no such rules that they would even attempt to abide by.

My Geneva Convention Code is stamped on my ID card. I always thought it was the silliest thing since none of our enemies follow the Geneva Convention rules.

SGT (Join to see) The Geneva writing seems to be a symbol that not many follow.
