More proof that it's truly better to give than it is to receive!
- I love watching the US Air Force serve in joint & combined military operations. I'm a huge air power advocate (as opposed to an airpower air-head). Once again, the very mighty and operationally diverse C-130 Hercules aircraft weapon system, aircrews, maintenance and associated support personnel proved themselves to be the ultimate mission hackers in delivering a MOAB on time & on target in Afghanistan.
- Most of the time, the C-130 airframe is utilized to deliver "beans & bullets" to US and coalition forces, support humanitarian missions/contingencies around the world and to support a myriad of lessor recognized missions.
As a former C-130 crew dog, I find it simply PRICELESS knowing the "B-130" variant (lol) was used to deliver the "Mother Of All Bombs" (MOAB's) on time & on target to sone of our eagerly waiting adversaries today.
- This reminds me of stories about BLU-82 "Daisy Cutters" used during the 'ole school days. So I think its time to nickname the MOAB the "Poppy Killer" if more "B-130's" will continue eradicating 'ISIS weeds' growing throughout crevices of Afghanistan...
