Totally agree. It's definitely not cut and dried, and to pass complete judgement on any individual from the story is to miss the point. Humanity is insanely complex, and though right and wrong seem clear from a distance, the pressures of familial and cultural loyalty, shares of social responsibility, and immersion in a society, economy, and politicial structure can be crushing, even incapacitating. I do believe the dude was brave to write the story and bring the discussion into the light, regardless of the inevitable storm of criticism.
