Can't blame it all on them when southern legislation isn't that concerned about public health. They are attempting to enlist in bad shape.....they aren't just getting fat after enlistment. It always seemed southern states attracted recruits due to the levels of poverty and poor community structures. These folks are busy worrying about helping out at home and trying to make that green ......doesnt leave much time for pickup bball games or to hit a gym. I hope things get better down there. I wouldn't worry about some chub, but if there are significant cardiovascular issues due to long-term poor diets, lack of medical involvement and christ knows what else, then it is not only bad for operational readiness it is going to play a significant role in the negative experiences in service. Damn, can't the US catch a break already? There just seem to be so many damn problems coming at the military from the inside-out and full circle!
