The Netherlands American Cemetery has a waiting list for peoplecwho want to adopt a grave. Much like what the Smeets family did, the adopted grave is tended by subsequent generations. It is one of a few with a waiting list. The Dutch are grateful for what we tried to do and finally did during WW II.
