For Military Vets with PTSD, 4th and Fireworks Can Be Nerve-Wracking

I've thought about this in the past and have wondered what I can do as a civilian to support the vets in my neighborhood. Besides respecting the signs/giving them a heads up of any fireworks, is there anything else you would recommend?

Yes it bother's me. On the 4th of July when the rest of family shoot off fireworks, I just stay away until they are finish.

I have a close friend affected by this. He comes to my barbecues, however opts out of the fireworks shows.
