My first car, 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, had an 8-track / AM radio in the dash. Did you use the matchbook to keep the 8-track in place as well? If I didn't use one, the sound was quite awful.

Ahhh ! The good ole days... First non compact dish.. Then the 8 tracks.. I put in an 8 track in my first car. Thanks for sharing SSgt Mark Lines

You are very welcome. My first car, 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, had an 8-track in the dash. I remember having to buy an adapter from Radio Shack that allowed me to play cassettes in it.
