You gotta respect her resolve. Seems another American Warrior is being failed by her government.

Actually her choice. She could have stayed in the US but chose to go back to Portugal that has very strong extradition rules with Italy another partner in the EU.

Right. But where is the government standing up for her?

SN Greg Wright - I'm sure there all plenty of Italian "Friends of the Court" briefs being submitted by our Embassy in Italy in support of her but she was convicted in absentia of Accessory to Kidnapping and the those Italian Laws are a throwback to the War against the Mafia and Groups like Badder Meinhoff. I also remember how we had to Turn Over those Hijackers from Achile Lauro to the Italians after we brought their escape plane down at Sigonella. Even during the Reagan years we didn't interfere with Italian Sovereignty. Being the 6th flt is HQ there and two of our most important NASs are there that takes precedence.

Be strong, Sabrina de Sousa. I would have told them to go f*ck themselves.

She was only doing what she was told to do.

I give her Kudos for wanting to be able to visit with her family and willingness to face the consequences of those family ties.
