When I was stationed at Ft Drum we got in a new 2nd LT for our platoon, we were prepping to go to the field for 3 weeks. The LT called down to our SFC to send his truck to he company area so he could load his gear up, our SFC said sir in this Co. we all carry our stuff to the staging area in the motor pool. This was our COs policy. The next thing we see is a private carrying the LTs gear to the truck I have never seen a SFC get so angry in my career he called the 1SG who said he would handle it. Last we seen of the LT was him rucking out to the field. But he did learn a lesson that day and was a better officer in th end. While you may have the rank that allows you tell others what to do it doesn’t come without consequences.

I never served as a general’s aide, so I have no personal comments I can offer. This is the Officer/Enlisted Aide Handbook.
