Why did they want/need a sniper to take out a real estate agent with a .22 pistol?

Hell if I know, but Michael Bay or Jerry Bruckheimer will make this .22 pistol into some CheyTac super sniper rifle with armor penetrating guided missile MOAB rounds fired from the hip down from the space shuttles cargo door.
