And here we go, now all other branches will want one. This would be a good time to think about a joint training Command.

Actually they do. All this is happens to be is an offshoot of the 25 series MOS with a specific identifier. Same signal school.... Going joint would be nice, but then you'd have to specify what is the mission, goals, and how do they support the unit. That'll never happen with each service swearing their individual needs are different yet when looked at are the same. Imagine the Army saying they could take over the amphib mission from the Corps.....

There has been talk of renaming it Joint Base Gordon for a few years. Not only is this the signal training center, which isn't grandpa's signal anymore, there are active units from all 4 major services, as well as NSA. Fort Gordon is growing like a weed. I have a house there I am trying to sell, hopefully it will sell fast. Anyone interested? $192,000 2 minutes from the main gate.
