Fossil fuels HAVE the technology to produce far cleaner energy. It exists and is available NOW. They have not invested in deployment because the last administration was hell bent on completely eliminating fossils fuels in favor of immature “renewable” technologies that cannot, at this point, survive without taxpayer subsidies. It is in the fossil fuel industry’s best interest to take advantage of the current administrations relatively more appreciative attitudes to make a major investment in cleaner technologies.
