I personally don't see the correlation between most of the video and what they refer to as "gun violence". Just because someone reads gun magazines (I do) and watches gun-related videos on Youtube (I do) does not mean they are planning a mass shooting (I am not). This video just appears, to me at least, to be another attempt by the anti-gunners to create fear and hysteria throughout the population.

Gun mags banned at schools? Man, I am so glad I am out of school! I remember back in the day my school library had a subscription to Guns and Ammo and American Rifleman. Of course that was also when everyone had at least a rifle and a shotgun in the rack in their truck and probably a pistol under the seat, students and teachers alike, and people would go hunting before school started.

PO1 John Crafton - That is crazy! My kids go to a private school where they have a Trap and Skeet team, coached by the principal, and offer a Firearms Safety and Handling Course and Hunter's Safety Course. I also do not remember any issues with guns growing up, but then again I grew up in a small town in western Colorado where literally everyone had guns and shooting and hunting was a part of everyday life.

LTC (Join to see) - And some JROTC programs in public high schools have rifle teams and taught marksmanship to those interested. However, culture is changing and some of these extra-curriculars are being seen as things conducted away from schools and preferably with supervision of adult family members and not educators.
And the video was more of an example of a slow escalation of a problem at the mental and emotional level. It could have easily been a sword or knife magazine and the kid targeting the bullies from the hallway. The social media pic of the kid that was easily overlooked has become a common tell-tell sign we're seeing more today.

I agree. That had a strong message to it that was easily overlooked till the end. Just had to share with others on Facebook. Was disappointed by many of the comments posted on the original Facebook post.

Yes while terrible this was a mental health issue gone bad not a gun issue. Lanza struggled with mental illness and had a history of obsessive-compulsive behaviors as well a fascination with mass shootings - particularly the 1999 school shooting in Columbine. Yet, none of the mental health specialists he had met with predicted he was capable of lashing out violently. Yet the PSA is eluding that this was the responsibility of his classmates to clue in on this. I would argue that all mass shootings are related to some underlying mental health issue even those perpetrated by terrorists. Kind of like saying all the neighbors of a person who was an alcoholic unbeknownst to them charged with vehicular manslaughter should of or could of prevented it.
