LT Brad McInnis Can't think of a Better Transition. Unfortunately the Navy Never Trained Me for the Firefighting they had me do for real. While Stationed at NSGD Sugar Grove, WV got Dispatched to a Forest Fire (Go Figure I'm a CT) I Learned Pretty Good on the Fly. I still smoked at the Time went to stop for a Cigarette Break started checking for My Lighter until I remembered everything around Me was burning. Lit it on the Nearest Tree. Was widening a fire break with a Shovel went to sit down in the middle, sat down and burned my ass, jumped up and attacked the root underground that was burning across My Fire Line. I wasn't having any of that. Got on a Horseshoe Ridge with Me on the Lower Section. The Guys above yelled look out and I started back peddling just in time to have a tree fall in front of me and a big branch on either side. "Who's the Asshole that Pushed that Tree Over On Me" "The Roots Burnt Out Chip, We Saw it Falling Your Way" Damn It!
